Perry W. Knight was born in Sacramento where he was raised with his four brothers. His father was an Air Force pilot who later taught English and History at Sacramento City College for 32 years. Both of his parents were born during the depression. His parents instilled in Perry a strong work ethic and desire to help those in need.
Perry graduated from the University of California at Davis in Philosophy and Spanish. He went on to study law in the evening division at the University of the Pacific McGeorge School of Law in Sacramento. Throughout his educational career, Perry worked as a real estate broker and served in the United States Air Force as an enlisted member in a Reserve Communication Squadron.

While at McGeorge, Perry was able to put his Spanish skills (se habla Español) to work in the McGeorge Immigration Clinic and also served as an intern at the Sacramento County Probate Court. In addition to earning his Juris Doctorate degree, Perry successfully completed the Tax Law and Business Law concentrations. He passed the California Bar examination on his first sitting and was sworn into the California State Bar on December 1, 2015.
From the start of his legal career, Perry focused on Estate Planning and Probate. He especially enjoys working with the Spanish-speaking parents of developmentally disabled children to obtain conservatorships for their children. With his solid legal foundation and practical experience, Perry is able to advise clients navigating rules of Trust and Probate Administrations. Finally, when disputes arise, Perry is able to litigate his client’s position and takes pride in his ability to find workable solutions for all parties involved.

Outside of work, Perry enjoys spending as much time as possible with his family. He frequently travels to Latin America and Europe where his extended family lives. He enjoys backpacking and camping. Favorite locations include the Sierra Nevada mountains, the northern coast of California, and Washington State’s San Juan Islands. He is an avid runner and can be frequently found on the American River Parkway Trail. Perry has a passion for sustainability and renewable energy, he maintains a vegetable garden at home, and frequently lends a hand to friends who are building their own homes.
